The Best Fruits and Vegetables For the HCG Diet Program

Selections of Fruits for HCGThe HCG diet program is easily the most popular weight loss method in the world today. More people trust in this method than any other, and for good reason. This program has been shown to provide over 20 kilograms of weight loss within a single regimen. No other weight loss technique has proven to be anywhere near this effectiveness. The use of HCG for stable weight loss has been a tremendous revolution. It has offered those with long term weight gain, difficulty losing that weight, and other chronic health problems a real solution for the first time.

It’s important to keep in mind, however, that these considerations go far beyond simply following a strict program.  There are many different ways to take this hormone, and to implement the HCG diet program, but those ways are never a strict set of directions.  As such, many people question which foods can augment their success best.  A wide variety of fruits and vegetables are allowed on the program, but this varies considerably between the classic approach and the more recent modern changes.

Dr. Simeons original program was strict, it allowed for only a limited amount of any one fruit or vegetable, and heavily sanctioned which types were allowed to be included.  These limitations were made at a time before the metabolic affects of many natural foods were well known.  For instance, the original program only allowed these types of vegetables with meals:

  • spinach
  • chard
  • chicory
  • beet-greens
  • green salad
  • tomatoes
  • celery
  • fennel
  • onions
  • red radishes
  • cucumbers
  • asparagus
  • cabbage

However, recently a host of other vegetables have been found to not only work, but work better, than these originals.  Things like broccoli, kale, brussels sprouts, etc have all shown great promise at boosting electrolytes, increasing metabolism and helping augment any diet program.

Additionally, these same benefits have been found with a lot of fruits that were originally disallowed as well.  We wrote at length previously about metabolism and grapefruit, and the unique properties that have been recently found therein.  Yet Dr. Simeons did not originally allow this either.  As such, the limitations of the classic approach have become apparent in recent years, and a concerted effort has been made to improve the original approach.

 

The Future of the HCG Diet

This program in the future will look very different.  The original program will be replaced with a higher caloric intake, wider variety program, that allows for significant choice when it comes to selecting foods.  Likewise, injections probably will soon be a thing of the past, as they have spent much time perfecting oral forms of the hormone (whether pills or droplets).

Research in this field has shown great promise with regards to increasing metabolism by specific fruits, and has enabled some HCG dieters to lose even more weight than with the original program.  Easier to manage weight loss, and faster results? Sounds great to us!
